Our world-class infrastructure delivers
reliability and scalability. Maintaining our infrastructure at our new data
center ensures abundant access to fiber optic Internet backbone connections and
backup power systems to meet our 99.9% uptime guarantee to our customers.
Our data center is similar to a carrier hotel, with 6 major networks, each
bringing in a minimum of an 0C-48 connection. It is connected to the Internet
through 14
Gigabit Ethernet links from six separate backbone providers, who each run
fiber optic cable into the data center through two separate entry points. The networks include: Level 3,
Sprint, Time Warner, MCI, Progress Telecom and Bell South.
Our Data Center located, in Houston, TX is designed to offer state-of-the-art
redundant systems that assure power availability, temperature and humidity
control and security.
Neutral Optical Hubs are engineered to conform to high telco industry standards
that define a rigid and extensive set of performance, quality, environmental and
safety requirements.
Power
Each Neutral Optical Hub power system is designed to ensure uninterrupted
service.
The UPS system is deployed in a parallel redundant configuration with N+1
modules. Generator backup is provided for up to 100% of customer peak load with
a fuel supply of 24 hours. There is the provision for backup refueling contracts
if there is an extended utility failure.
Environmental Controls
Neutral Optical Hub environmental systems are engineered to provide the
functionality and redundancy required for staff and patrons' comfort and optimum
equipment operability.
The data grade HVAC system has N+1 redundancy.
There is constant ambient air temperature of 72° (+ or - 2 degrees). Humidity is
controlled to a constant 45% (+ or - 5 %).
Security
Our Facility provides the multiple layers of physical and technological security
required by data and telecommunications customers.
Our Facility will be staffed accordingly. Access to the facility and co-location
floor is controlled by biometric palm scanners in conjunction with proximity
card readers.
All cabinets and cage spaces are locking, and
the level of security can be upgraded by customer request. Facilities are
monitored via closed circuit digital camera coverage with 24 hour recording and
30-day digital video storage.
Facilities are equipped with centralized
security stations.
24-Hour Critical Systems
Monitoring/Disaster Prevention
Not only are the various systems designed with redundancy to ensure continuous
service, but also Our Facility offers the added reliability of 24-hour critical
systems monitoring to solve potential problems before they escalate.
All systems (including UPS, DC Power, PDU, HVAC, Temperature, Humidity,
Security, Fire Threat) are constantly checked by a web-based monitoring system.
Fire detection is managed with a VESDA air sampling system.
Dry-pipe pre-action systems complement the front-line detection system.
